Attack on Titans Museum

In recent years one of the best selling comics throughout Japan, and throughout the world, has been the fantasy comic about the battle between humans and giants called Attack on Titans. The creator of Attack on Titans, Isayama Hajime, was born and grew up in Oyama. Mr. Isayama is quoted as saying that the mountains around Oyama were the inspiration for the walls that protect humans from their giant oppressors in his stories. There is an Attack on Titans museum in Oyama, located at Umehibiki Hot Springs Resort, where one can see relics of Mr. Isayama’s childhood, as well as see how Attack on Titans is created.
