Just off the main road that winds through Maetsue, tucked behind some homes and a community center, is the Ono Oimatsu Shrine. The shrine is in a wooded area, separated from the neighborhood buildings by a small road with stone walls. There are several buildings, and the oldest one has existed since the Muromachi era (1336 to 1573) and has been designated a National Important Cultural Property.
