The Oyama River flows through the center of town, cutting its way through several ravines, the most notable being the Hibiki Ravine. The ravine can be viewed either from the base, near the river, or looking across from the opposite side. Although impressive at any time, the cliffs of the ravine are most impressive in the fall, when they come aflame with the reds, oranges and yellows of the turning leaves.
